EDEN CPA SDA e3010 receives EMVCo Type Approval

Cesson-Sévigné, France – May 7th, 2009 – EDSI today announces that its EDEN CPA SDA e3010 software received EMVCo Type Approval.

“The approval by EMVCo of our EDEN CPA SDA e3010 software rewards our teams for their commitment to developing and bringing onto the market the first EDSI EMVTM payment application. As such it is a milestone in EDSI’s history” said Lucien Gani, Chairman of EDSI.

“This approval is also a significant step in EDSI payment activity development as it enables us from now on to contribute our 19 years’ experience in secure smartcard software development to EMV migration worldwide” added Cédric Hazard, Sales Engineer.

EMV CPA (Common Payment Application) is the result of the joint efforts by Mastercard, Visa, JCB and American Express to offer a standardized payment application which will be used among the payment systems and ease EMV migration.

EDEN CPA SDA e3010 is the entry-level software of EDSI EMV CPA compliant range. Supporting Static Data Authentication (SDA) and implementing EMV Card Personalization Specification (CPS), EDEN CPA SDA e3010 is meant for issuers willing to roll out a cost-effective and up-to-date payment application. Top of range software will follow on to offer more advanced features to our clients.

EDSI and INTEGRI announce
An integrated solution for EMV CPA

2nd of November 2006, Zaventem, Belgium - Integri, leading provider of IT solutions for testing and simulating electronic transactions and EDSI, France, a leading provider of secure smartcard OS, announce an integrated solution for EMV CPA.

EDSI, drawing upon its experience as a leading banking smartcard operating system provider, developed an EMV CPA smartcard operating system. Integri, test tool and test service provider developed a dedicated test suite for verifying the compliance of a smartcard application with the Common Payment Application (CPA) standard. EDSI and Integri have cooperated during the development of both respective solutions and confirm now that they run in an integrated way, i.e. EDSI's EMV CPA OS successfully passes the test scripts of the Integri EMV CPA Card Test Suite.

Jan De Meester, Managing Director, Integri, said, "Our solution for EMV CCD L2 has been qualified already by EMVco. The test suite for testing compliance of an EMV CPA application will start the EMVco qualification process by the end of the year.
